Farmstand

USABILITY FOR CONSUMERS AND FARMERS

My Role: UX design (consumer facing and dashboard)

Farmstand is a platform that connects local farmers to consumers. As a dual-sided marketplace, Farmstand has to have a usable interface for both types of users.

The various flows that are necessary can be broken up into a few key components:

01. Main website navigation

02. Checkout Flow for Consumers

03. Consumer Log in and Dashboard

Its not necessary to see each screen to understand the systems thinking that this project required.

We needed to ask ourselves complex questions along the way:

How does UI change for when consumers pick up an order vs. get an order delivered?

What categories should users be able to sort searches with and how does that translate back to the farmer dashboard?

What’s the simplest way for farmers to keep track of products and inventory?

What should the UX for payment methods look like and how does it need to line up with the backend?
